 Our vineyard and winery complex is at Red Cliffs, near Mildura in the Murray Valley of North West Victoria. We have 350 hectares (865 acres) under vine. It is warm and sunny here where the great Murray River brings life to the region. Our efforts are focussed on producing fruit of the highest quality and expressive wines brimming with flavour and varietal character. The Deakin Estate range of wines was launched in 1994 in limited quantities. Since then our investment in extensive vineyard plantings has allowed us to share our distinctively Australian wines with customers around the world. Deakin Estate wines can now be found in 28 countries outside Australia.

....bin ich hier über Sparkling Shiraz gestolpert.
Hatte 2000 das erstemal Sparkling Reds (Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon) in Downunder genossen...
Ich konnte die Augen schließen, diesn Geruch und Geschmack genießen und war unten. Grandios.
Wäre Klasse hier auch Sparkling Cabernet zu bekommen.

Der kleine Bruder vom "großen Vixen" 3.67 out of 5
Über den Vixen habe ich meine Leidenschaft für den Sparkling Shiraz entdeckt.
Der Deaking Reserve schmeckt interessant, erfüllt positiv jede Neugierde, reicht aber an den Vixen nicht heran.
Er ist leider nicht so rund und harmonisch, die Kohlensäure wirkt fast ein...

Sehr guter Sekt mit feiner Kohlensäure, den man meines Erachtens prima als Aperitiv anbieten kann. Das Überaschungsmoment hat man auf jeden Fall für sich. Meinen Gäste waren rundum begeistert!

Nachdem Peppermint Paddock auf den Geschmack gekommen, probierte ich weiter Shiraz-Sparklings aus. Der Deakin Reserve hat mich dabei voll überzeugt. Sehr weinig, schön moussierend entwickelt er im Mund die ganze Vielfalt und Kraft eines Shiraz. Dabei bleibt er schön frisch....
